Before you can get a password to my Steven Brand shrine I would like you to understand why this gallery is actually locked.

After working several months on this website I recognized that many people seem to come here SOLELY to snitch pictures! Can you imagine how frustrating it is for a fansite admin to find all the work she’s done ’stolen’ by anonymous people, published to random message boards, weblogs or myspace sites without giving a little credit like a link to this page or at least leaving a guestbook entry? I can tell you: it is extremely frustrating and I’m really sick of all these picture-grabbers.

This site is truly a FAN site that has been built out of nothing, made with passion, love and a lot of time, but it is not a self-service market where you can take away everything you can grab for free.

If you’re a true fan of Steven you do know that it is very, very difficult to get some good pictures of him and that’s why I think that my collection of self-made screencaps, fanarts and exclusively requested photographs is absolutely unique and it should be worth just a little bit of respect.

So, all I’d ask you for is to respect this site – my work – which means that you should not take any pictures from here without asking and that you should also not reproduce them to any other place on the internet.

If you understand what I’m talking about and if you agree to observe my request, feel free to get back to me by email and apply for a password.

Additionally, please bear in mind that I will decide from case to case whether I send a password or not and that people, of whom I think that they REALLY care about Steven, his work, this website, who check back for news from time to time, who are interested to share information with other fans etc, will have a much better chance to get access. There’s a message board, there’s a guestbook, there’s the fan list, so what are you waiting for? It is so easy to show some support for Steven :)

If you prefer to stay invisible it’s also ok, in this case you can still use the public gallery…
